Story to the Play:

After his great victory over Pompey’s son in Spain Caesar was going to celebrate the same with the people as a benevolent king. So, he refused the crown offered by Antony thrice. But this innocent man never thought of his upcoming dangers created by some of his comrades like Brutus and others. Because of his growing dictatorial power, Brutus accompanied by his companions made conspiracy against Caesar’s dictatorial power. So, they made plot to murder Caesar.

Of course Caesar’s wife Calpurina realized the matter of conspiracy and she warned Caesar. The soothsayer also advised Caesar to be aware of the 15th of March for the up-coming danger. But as a Shakespearean tragic hero with fatal flaw, Caesar never paid heed to these awareness Rather he uttered-

Danger Knows he (Caesar) is more dangerous:

While the conspirators were going to execute the murder of Caesar.

Along with others, Artemidors one of the Caesar’s companions gave a paper of warning against the coming dangers. But Caesar never read that, Rather he was advancing to the capitol (the Senate House) to be celebrated with all his benevolent attitude to the people without listening to any advice from any quarters. At this stage Caesar was stabbed by the conspirators one after another. At the stab of Brutus, Caesar said-

“You, too, Brutus”

Immediately after Caesar’s Killing, Antony’s famous speech on Caesar’s dead body, moved the mob (people) and they stood against the conspirators. So, all the conspirators had to flee from Rome to save themselves from the fury of the mob. All the conspirators, including Cassius and Brutus committed suicide.

Brutus killed Caesar thinking him (Caesar) ambitious with an attitude of kingship. But Antony proved it false showing the will duly signed by him (Caesar) for an amount of seventy five drachmas for every citizen. Caesar’s newly planted fruit gardens were also willed fro the people.

Here is the end of the life of a great benevolent man who sacrifices his life for the good of his country men.

সিজারের হত্যার পরপরই সিজারের মৃতদেহের বিষয়ে অ্যান্টোনির বিখ্যাত ভাষণ জনতাকে (জনগণকে) সরিয়ে নিয়েছিল এবং তারা ষড়যন্ত্রকারীদের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়ায়। সুতরাং, সমস্ত ষড়যন্ত্রকারীকে জনতার ক্রোধ থেকে নিজেকে বাঁচাতে রোম থেকে পালাতে হয়েছিল। ক্যাসিয়াস ও ব্রুটাসহ সমস্ত ষড়যন্ত্রকারী আত্মহত্যা করেছিল।
